There's the sentiment that those who abandoned religion will find it in something else, and honestly I think it's true. While religion may have declined in popularity, crusading has only gained in popularity.
Meanwhile the Thinkers have to watch the Idiots stepping on rakes, tripping over hoses, and falling off the ladder into the rose bush.
