Old-old testament is really its own messed up thing unto itself, even the term for god used was elohim which if translated correctly is plural, gods, so right off the bat this is a separate religion, that claims some girls raped their own dad while he was drunk, and there's mention of other intelligent beings existing on earth outside of the garden, so the garden is not exactly at the beginning of the creation timeline either, always amazed me growing up in the church that nobody was questioning these things
