A man has appeared in court charged with soliciting to commit murder over an alleged plot to kidnap TV presenter Holly Willoughby. Gavin Plumb, of Potters Field, Harlow, in Essex, is also accused of incitement to commit kidnap. The 36-year-old, who is a security officer at a shopping precinct in the town, appeared for a short hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court.

For four years, Gavin, 31, struggled to go further than his own doorstep, because of his weight. He first texted BBC Radio 5 live's Afternoon Edition programme in 2016 - and we've spoken to him twice since. This is the story - in his own words - of how he turned his life around and is now looking to the future with renewed hope.
There are no coincidences.
This is all very convenient for a TV personality who's public image has massively soured in the last couple of years, who could desperately do with the public outcry of sympathy this will probably generate for her.
There is that, a comeback after Schofield, shoring up credibility, adding another freaking lefty narrative of the constant victimhood of women.
But it has been otherwise political, previously, as this nation has turned barking mad, and those numbers are in the gutter.
Seriously who'd not want to kidnap her? Oops. Fantasy I am sure.
