Remember folks it is a spiritual battle, and your enemies don't always wear the same costume or skin suit.
Can I tell ya a funny story?
Ever hear of those Mary processionals in Catholicism where they trot a Mary statue around a neighborhood, and there's a crowd that follows it? Think it's on a Mary "feast day" (weird name), and sometimes they have "special" statues or "traveling" statues.
Anyhow, one time when I was like super young and still in diapers, our doorbell rang, and the Monsignor of our church was outside (we lived a block away from our church). I got really nervous, because I got a HORRIBLE feeling about things. I am pretty sure I begged my mom to not open the door, and even started crying.
He stopped the whole procession to say hi and specially bless the house. Really weird. I was lucky I was still in diapers, I think I might've dropped one.
Funnily enough, I became an altar boy later on and worked with that guy a bunch. He was a gruff, old school priest, but pretty decent as far as they go. One of the other priests was an old Irish priest, and he was great...he loved computers and got a TRS-80 when they came out.
Maybe my fear wasn't really of the priest though...maybe it was more the Mary BS.
That veneration shit is strange. But you've probably seen my ramblings on the Jesuits and Mari. It's all pretty tidy.
