I witnessed the elimination of records/studies... environmental analysis that was done in previous decades. Those works can never be redone/recovered (yes, because people are more incompetent) but also because the environment and things have changed.

Yes, those official records were boring but they cost an enormous amount to create over the years, and lots of effort. All destroyed. Not put into digital archives.

They said they needed the space and didn't have room to keep the records/archives. But really? Who can say.
