Freedom was gone before you were born. The descent into chaos is like a barber pole: nothing changes but the angle, and it can appear to descend forever.

Don't get dizzy and you might start to see how the machine is put together. If you're watching the spinning stripe then you're not looking for the outlet to pull the plug.
