I was in default when I got divorced. They intentionally make it impossible to get out of default. They budget the amount for you an amount that you can't afford. I was very lucky. I bitched about it to my dad, and he was angry for me. He made the payments to get me out of default. When I called in about it they kept telling me they'd never seen anyone succeed. Finally someone asked me how I did it. I said, " I didn't. My dad thinks you're so stupid, he did it for me".

They make more money off of you when you're in default.
