And the trees like willows that should burn last, are burning first from the inside out.
The trees / grass are also not coming back, leaving barren zones for a while. Maybe like the 9/11 on-going radiation. Or maybe the microwaves really zapped and killed the life out of the area.
You've probably seen how quickly vegetation can recover from fires.
The Arborist even showed that eucalyptus trees didn't explode and die when an entire house burned down next to it.
