Thank you for sacrificing yourself for the rest of us, to find out what I and many others already know: most of "dentistry" is a barbaric relic from late 1800s barber days. It's a big scam. Take care of your teeth and gum: don't eat carbs, don't chew nuts and swish your mouth with salt water every now and then. You'll keep your teeth and gums happy, no need for dentist, unless you get into an accident.
Study the erosion patterns of vegans / vegetarians who chew on nuts and seeds. This data is evident in both paleontology and modern dentistry. Biting seeds/nuts is NOT good for your dental (nor gum) health. Reasons? Mechanical erosion, phytates, organic acids and carbs, all of which contribute to chemical and mechanical erosion of your teeth and eventually loss of teeth.
Just eat meat, cartilage / bones (bone broth) and some fermented full fat milk products (occasionally) if your guts can tolerate them (prefer casein A2 milk sources like goat, sheep, buffalo, bison, camel and so called heritage A2 cows).

... don't chew nuts? Can you tell me why? I never thought about nuts as bad for the teeth.

Interesting. Thanks.
