I just use The Golden Rule: "Do unto others what you would want them to do to you." or "Do not do unto others, what you do not want others to do unto you" Maybe where people don't know each other or are divided by race, culture, social status, belief system etc. this is much harder to accomplish. Also not so easy when dealing with representatives of corporations and institutions but I try not to have too much to do with them and still if one tries it can be done, they are still men and women and not robots. Confidence and knowledge are key.
