Most of what you wrote here points to the inevitable rhythm going on it’s way and nothing you can do can stop it but then you mention masters who can escape the backwards swing to stay where they are. It’s either inescapable or it isn’t. If they break the prison of the pendulum swinging back, wouldn’t they be extremely overpowered going from forward swing to forward swing avoiding unpleasant consequences?
