How'd I wind up here.. scrolling tubi, I think it could have been the category highly rated on rotten tomatoes. Like pretty far down notice,

Seduced & Abandoned 2013 · 1 hr 38 min TV-14 Documentary Actor Alec Baldwin and director James Toback lead us on a troublesome and often hilarious journey of raising financing for their next feature film.

I'm there, what's this. Who's this bald obsese guy. They go to Cannes, try to get financing. It's interesting cause you get a behind the scenes. The film industry there.. jeez. It's in rough shape. So these guys could only get like 4-5M and have to get some chick too.

Few years later they wind up doing this with Sienna Miller. Script changes. Was looking around for it.. searching for the name in google, then filter over 20 minutes. Find some foreign site that has major studio categories of films, but it has hard coded arabic subs the whole time. But was ok could check it out. Let me get that.

Downloaded the 1080p. I watch this thing eh.. made it through it all. I don't check trailers first to spoil surprises. After, I check the imdb.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6469960/?ref_=tt_urv

They got Alec Baldwin in the poster. I watch the trailer and it's a good chunk of how much he was in the movie. He's only in there like I don't know.. something like 5 minutes. lol.

I check the reviews.. I don't think I've ever seen a movie get blasted like this.

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6469960/reviews?ref_=tt_urv

This movie has 2.9 stars out of 10. Looks like 1.9k reviews.

This movie is pretty bad though eh.. For the doc it was ok where you see this fat chump. But he puts himself in this "movie" here.. and it's like.. who's this guy that comes into her apartment and is "interviewing" her almost like some type of audition.

At the end, you get Carl Icahn who walks in. Was supposed to be her grand father's old friend. He comes in talking to her on the couch and she doesn't get 1 peep in for like fuckin 10 minutes. This guy's wiki page of his billions in business deals is very impressive though. I've heard the guy's name over the years but never really looked into him. Him coming into the movie though is pretty bad. He's not really an "actor". This isn't like the doc where they're looking for financiers.

I think somebody said if you don't factor in the long intro and long end time, the movie time was 101 minutes.. it's 111.

Then I check this Toback's wiki page.. scrolling down.. was like.. woah.

"On October 22, 2017, Los Angeles Times columnist Glenn Whipp reported that 38 women have accused Toback of sexual harassment or assault."

"In January 2018, Whipp reported that since the Times published its article in October 2017, a total of 395 women contacted the newspaper and said that Toback had sexually harassed them. The accounts stretch over a 40-year period."

This guy's like a behind the scenes Harvey Weinstein.. but I never heard of him before.

Looking around for him.. doesn't seem to be anything since this ultra flop.

Checking google news for his name, sorted by date, past year, saw this article of

I think what happened is Baldwin distanced himself from this chump after the "me too" movement. Before that, in the 2013 doc.. he's all buddies with him.. wants to get into the producing this movie.. get back into movies. I guess when the film was made you also had the covid.

This guy though.. it's like Weinstein where nobody nailed him, eh. Sounds like the biz is pretty bad for that.
