In a sane world we wouldn't even see "green = good, coal = bad." We would see risk-reward and opportunity cost grounded in reality. People come up with the most irrational reasons to not tap into resources readily available for us or to squander resources that are there...we can't build a coal plant because there MAY be a CHANCE of reducing an endangered worm's population by FIVE percent? We can't build a small scale nuclear plant because it reminds us of Chernobyl and Chernobyl makes us feel sad?
