Last night, scrolling highly rated on rotten tomatoes category and didn't wanna deal with this buncha fuckin ongoing scrolling of movies with guns in the damn poster.
I wind up watching Meatballs (1979).. I was growing up back then, well that was a little early.. but you'd watch shit like this in the 80's. Fuck was that movie "bad" watching it nowadays. What's up with that? I just couldn't sit through the "shtick". I don't know man.. it might of cut it back then, when people didn't have many options.. no internet.. few stations on TV.. a movie every not that often. But yeah.. you try to release shit exactly like Meatballs these days, I don't think it would go very far.
On the other hand though.. you have some things going on back then, which wouldn't be happening these days. Keep an eye out for those things when you watch old shit. This having to be politically correct where lots of these scenes, if you'd post it in social networking, some flub would report it and they'd sack your account. Probably just from mainstream movies too, eh. Like think about the racist shit in earlier decades.. even fucking shit like Looney Tunes or something. Or stuff like Fred Flintstones in cigarette commercials.
