In his interview with Bradley Martin, all he talked about was peer pressure. So I don't think it was for the Thai visa. Also even though Thailand was a bit vaxx crazy, they were still allowing unvaxxed in with bs quarantine + testing measures.
The peer pressure In my opinion was from Vigorous Steve, another Dutchman living in Thailand. He mentioned it in a couple of his recent videos. One being the video he made regarding Joe's death.
Steve was worried about being kicked out of Thailand under the vax rule. And also needing the way to return to Netherlands/Holland where I believe they were originally from.
