My dad was in Vietnam,(and the ultimate conspiracy theorist) and I just heard about this last week via a Smithsonian exhibit. It talked about how the NYT and the WP both dedicated space to it back then, and how the everyday people and other countries were against it and went on record, but then it slowly got swept under the rug. (It gave specific details as to how)

Also, one major difference….it wasn’t to cause monsoons, it was to extend the monsoon season to disrupt the Ho ming Chung supply line (pretty sure I butchered that)
