I've talked with other mods and I am proposing the current changes I've implemented. I have changed the side bar from:
Warning: Some describe this as a "fringe" conspiracy forum. If you're afraid of the info you may encounter here, please confine yourself to Win's safe-space conspiracy forum, here.
Which oddly links to; c/GreatAwakening. Not sure why Clems did that, but, I don't like it, seems suspect. Further, not sure why they are trying to make out conspiracy theories as fringe or scary?
I replaced it with:
Conspiracies.win: This is a forum for free thinking and for discussing issues which have captured your imagination. Please respect other views and opinions, and keep an open mind. Our goal is to create a fairer and more transparent world for a better future.
and further outlined:
The Golden Rule: Be respectful. Attack the argument, not the person.
Thus, establishing the Ethos of this forum (set in stone). This was the Ethos I agreed upon when Axo made me a mod here first when we both were purged from Reddit. Me first, then him. Thank god for us creating Voat accounts back in the day. Still pissed some top mind took my original Putin_loves_cats original username here. Anwyays...
Clems had this as a general disclaimer:
Submissions of exceptionally low quality, trolling, spam, and those submissions determined to be intentionally misleading, may all be removed.
I built off this and replaced it with:
Disclaimer: Submissions/comments of exceptionally low quality, trolling, stalking, spam, and those submissions/comments determined to be intentionally misleading, calls to violence and/or abuse of other users here, may all be removed at moderator's discretion.
This is what I propose to the community and other mods here (ie. Axo, me, and Clems). The sidebar can always be reverted back if the response calls for it (from the community and my other co-mods) and I will concede.
Weigh in with your thoughts and opinions. Furthermore, you have a more artistic tongue in legalese, propose any alteration to the disclaimer to make it less ambiguous and more succinct. I suck at legalese.
Why? You shouldn't be against transparency.
I am not against transparency. Why do you say that? Seems like a strawman argument to me. My eyebrow is raised because the The xaviermgk dude is lying out his ass about me, flinging unsubstantiated accusations.
Why are you getting so defensive, dude? I just asked you a question. As for what that user is saying, I'm just hearing their side and having a convo. It's being taken with a grain of salt. However, what they said about you protecting/allowing Tallest (what the fuck ever) is true. You did, or at least turned a blind out (you admitted that). That is questionable, IMO, because they weren't just exercising free speech, they were actively and openly harassing other users here whilst constantly making calls to violence. That's fucked up.
You said it was cheeky "good fun/meme", but, like that user said, how many people left because that user? Why would you allow that? It's rhetorical, you already "told" me.
Anyways, this is transparency. Mods and users being able to talk freely amongst each other, as equals. So, chill the fuck out and stop being so defensive.
Just wanted to point out, since I was a bit unclear, that TallestSkil was a user that Clem protected.
Furthermore, it turns out "TallestSkil" is also a hated Reddit user, who magically could not be banned from the Apple subreddit, even though users perpetually complained about them.
So Clem protects that user like he is protected on Reddit. And, Clem also has promoted gibberish posts by a user KoanicSoul, who is also a Reddit user (Koanic), and who, incidentally, is an occultist.
Now, about TallestSkil why would Clem say to me that "Simply put - nothing you claim here is true. Not one word of it."
Is TallestSkil not a real user? Why is a mod allowed to openly lie to my face whilst calling me a liar?
Why is a mod allowed to say something like "Explain this vague quote in more detail, I dare you.", both mocking and threatening me?
