One test I have for if a person is sincere or not is if they take a personal hit, to their finances, fame, reputation, etc. And on this issue, at least, Novak took a lot of hits and acted with grace throughout the process.
He may still be a Freemason, which is incompatible with his stated Orthodox Christianity though.

By comparison to what, exactly, are you developing those standards? Dude has to go broke for it to be "real" to you?
Fixed? Depends on the sport and to what level, but it does happen.
Some play the hero, some play the heel. These are characters on the world stage playing a role. Not real people.
