When I come to atlantic canada from appalachia, I was woefully underprepared.

It took me years to realize people were fake as fuck and just trying to look like a shit diamond in a sea of shit turds.

I didnt see that where I grew up, people were real as hell, there was no faking how your feeling when you live in such a small place and everyone knows each other.
