It haven't been several generations. The clamp down on raw milk happened in the last 80's early 90's. It's been 3 generations at most.

What you really mean to say, is that the complexity of providing raw milk became extremely difficult in the 80's.
However, since the 30's all the large production systems were mandated to use it, so only the smaller scale systems operated with raw milk, feel free to produce some evidence that says otherwise before bothering to respond.
I agree the laws started in the 30s but once interstate sales were outlawed in the late 80s large producers couldn't make a profit. That's what I meant. We have a nice Amish neighbor who gives us milk for $7 a gallon. Fresh and illegal tastes good.
