Bill Gates doesn't see himself as an evil villain, so it stands to reason that not everything he invests in will be harmful. He thinks he's a philanthropist doing the right thing for humanity, so some of that stuff will end up being beneficial. Best to be wary of new food tech, though.
the "right thing" is depopulation, as far as Gates is concerned. So it stands to reason that everything he invests in should be regarded as likely bad for humanity.
