This is Jake Tapper here with your daily reminder that it’s illegal for you to read, speak about, or disseminate material from Wikileaks.

Ignore the fact that all of this important and relevant political information—most of which hasn’t been absorbed by the public at all—is now completely scrubbed from the web!

But in all seriousness, the shills are pushing the angle that it’s dangerous to look at this information or disseminate it.

This is bad faith disinformation, or at best gross ignorance. Unless you specifically leaked the document you have nothing to worry about.

You have the right to talk about whatever the fuck you want to talk about, especially things that involve the government. It’s called the first amendment.

This has been upheld specifically in the context of classified documents.

Now, this could change if Assange is charged and his appeals fail. That could set a different precedent that would mean people would need to be more careful.

But that hasn’t happened yet, and imo isn’t likely to happen. You have growing bipartisan pressure to drop the charges against Assange, and even if they don’t, it’s unlikely to hold up to appeals.

It’s blatantly unconstitutional overreach of the espionage act and a violation of the first amendment.

You have the right to read and share leaked information and anyone telling you otherwise is a lying piece of shit or grossly misinformed about the first amendment.

Or just a pussy.
