Yeah the big news in case you missed it, is the autism rate in kids is now 1/36 up from 1/42 a few years ago.
Every time this happens people are like, oh it's just increased diagnosis. But is the diagnostic criteria for autism changing every year? No one wants to seriously look at this issue.
V. Higher socioeconomic status is now associated with lower autism rates — once again contradicting the official narrative
In 9 of the 11 ADDM sites, those in the highest third of income had the lowest autism rates (although only 3 of those results were statistically significant). Presumably, those with the most income have the greatest access to testing and diagnostic services — and yet their autism rates are the lowest. Ask yourself: what is different about White and wealthy populations as compared with the rest of the population?
The rates are increasing among the poor, bc with this diagnosis comes an IEP and a crazy check, along with access to even more “free” services.
Children of the poor can stay on Medicaid until they’re six, at least- (maybe even 18 now- I don’t know if the criteria has changed).
So basically autism became government funded, so now everyone has autism. (But yes, I do believe it is very real. It’s just like the trans thing….. a lot of searching people find it, just because they are desperate for any kind of answer, but it doesn’t mean it’s not very real.)

Pattern recognition is not as common as I thought.
