personally i've always felt they were motivated by their shadow elements like spite at least to some extent. blue team knew all these items like masks, compliance, mandatory vaccines to protect the comernaty pissed off red team.
but they had an argument or claim for moral superiority in their position.
the fact that they assaulted people not wearing masks or whatever seems to give evidence that (a) they don't really believe in the masks and (b) they don't really care about the health and safety of others.
