Individual oil fields peak in production, then decline. This will happen on a global scale at some point. Sure tar sands and other sources exist but they are very low quality reserves compared to conventional oil reserves. Tar sands needs a huge amount of water and natural gas to turn into oil.
Is that the soundtrack from Ravenous? Love that soundtrack. Eerie music i play while impaling
Omg I haven't seen ravenous in ages. The crazy sequence when he starts digging, that music... gonna have to watch it, now.
The scene when they find the eaten bodies in the cave and the cannibal digs up a knife https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=A6dBp3n1VEE
Yeah exactly, I knew exactly where you were going when you mentioned it, I remember the first time I watched that, I was at a party as a teenager with my best friend and our girlfriends and some of their friends, and everybody else had already fallen asleep and I laid there watching that by myself, and afterwards I was like "holy fuck this shit is scary".
This is, of course, parody. However, we now know that it's also most likely true. I posted this because somebody posted an interesting abiotic oil comment last night.
искал нефть, нашел золото

Is this a leaked Exxon Board Meeting via Zoom?
"Jesus gon' come back 'n' drill baby drill. We gotta drench Jesus with all this oil"
