I've some pretty nasty things to others over this past month in particular. I relapsed on booze and took it out on you. I'm sorry for that.
Back in 2017 I fell into one of the worst binges in my life and the withdrawal nearly killed me. I vowed to never drink again and I broke that vow a month ago. I just made it through day 1 of withdrawal again.
When I get drunk I feel euphoric which is why it's so tempting for me. The flip side is alcohol withdrawal and in the state of mind I get destructive.
Again, I'm sorry for my words.
consider CBD oil as your 2ag/cb1 receptors have been downregulated (dry drunk syndrome, can't feel happy for a few months to a few years after stopping). Lazarus naturals has been my goto for years, good veteran/disability discounts. It's what many of us on the autism spectrum use (I used to drink alcohol daily to deal with it all).
Also, aminos, DLPA helped me the most. I use powder as it's cheaper but 2 of these works great and it's still fairly cheap compared to prescriptions. Polygana the best herb I've ever taken, you feel the effects pretty strong. Aminos are underrated.
Agmatine: 1g twice a day, stops the brain receptor from releasing the chemicals responsible for depressive/PTSD feelings. See this reddit post for the pubmed studies - https://www.reddit.com/r/Nootropics/comments/ht9hvr/agmatine_sulfate_miracle_substance_with_endless/
Agmatine stops the recptors that give negative emotions and get you to neutral, then the others for positive reinforcement (Alcar, dlpa, or the polygana). These combos can also treat bipolar, ptsd, etc)
ALCAR: 1g in the AM, gives energy and mood boost, produces positive emotions and allows to push through work and exercise better.
DLPA: 1g in the late afternoon as the ALCAR is wearing off since this is also for mood and producing positive feelings, this makes all 5 senses feel better, even makes food taste better. I found it in the book "Mood Cure."
NAC: 1g as needed for OCD/irritability, or addiction issues, stops mental cravings, also good for allergies (often prescribed at 600mg for mucus/lungs)
Glycine: 3g before bed for deep REM sleep, many are deficient in this from eating meat without cartilage, also magnesium is good to add to this before bed.
Magnolia Extract: half tsp to target GABA, nasty taste so get pills if you can’t stand a strong bitter taste, good for panic attacks, feels like a small amount of xanax.
Polygala Tenuifolia: to target the same receptors as ketamine (NMDA) that clinics now use for depression and mood, this being a natural herb used in Chinese medicine that’s safe and non-addictive.
Are you really sure throwing in random chemicals to the system of someone with most likely a weakened liver is a good idea?
It should be fine. The liver is VERY resilient. It can seriously take a fuck ton of abuse and still get back to healthy. It regenerates itself.
Yes. Start off the day with a piece of raw garlic and purified water with freshly squeezed lemon, your liver will love you long time.
NAC also is liver protective- may be a huge help even if he takes nothing else. (Would be good for him to take NAC if he backslides- wine makers use it regularly.)
Interesting advice all around- I’ve taken Alcar and similar but not for the above reasons. (Not the fellow you asked your question to.)
