I saw some british museum stuff from I think Paul Cook (youtuber) showing these odd old cannons marked something like 1503, but the 503 part was centered and the 1 looked tacked onto the left hand side.
Some are claiming it's not a 1, but a lowercase J to signify AD/Year of Our Lord Jesus. Fomenko as far as I know was the pioneer of the theory that 1000 years have been added to our timeline.
a) suggested numbers tempt one to ignore perceivable NUM'BER, noun - "the designation of a unit" + U'NIT, noun [Latin unus; unitas, unity.] - "one".
b) to be one (partial) implies within oneness (whole), hence perceiving partials (living) within perceivable whole (process of dying)...others suggest one to count units (ones) as 2,3,4...(till infinity and beyond) as to distract one from oneself.
