I think it's stupid for the car to make fake engine sounds, but it comes down to two things.
Dodge think their buyers are stupid and want fake engine sounds

Or a little bit of both.
But the reality is that if no one bought evs with fake engine sounds, they would stop making them that way. (BTW, I realize an EV should make some sound so as to not run over unsuspecting pedestrians, but that sound could be anything)
