Pentagon Practiced Shooting Down Spy Balloons In Alaska Wargame Two Years Ago
The U.S. military appears to have anticipated the threat posed by Chinese balloons and has been practicing shooting them down for at least two years, according to Pentagon budget documents describing a classified program known as TRIPPWIRE.
Alaska has a radar system that can detect a soda can flying through the air. No one believes a balloon got past them.
A military exercise that ends up coming to fruition.
Now everyone act surprised.
