Big Agra is a monopoly. It needs to be broken up and re-localized.

Every time there is a recall (in the US, at least) it affects the entire country. Problem of listeria in Romain lettuce? No Romaine for the entire nation.

Avian flu and a some strategic (((fires))) should not cripple a nation's supply of any food source, especially in a country with massive agricultural capabilities.

That's a serious issue.
