Right, but the Canal, is made North-South, if it were like the Panama, East-West, things have to be made differently, North-South, in such a small land mass that has Water on both sides, and the Water Levels on both sides are the same, the Canal is going to play along....
In Panama, things could have been done in the same way, but the Water Level on the Pacific Side is slightly Higher, than the Atlantic, if Memory serves....
