When I was religious I was taught that modern Jews were descendents of Jacob-Israel in the tribe of Judah and whites were descendents of some of the other "lost" tribes of Israel. I was taught the Arabs are descended from Esau-Edom, which is why they are in a never-ending war with each other.

The Rothschilds own Oxford University Press, and hired Cyrus Scofield (an alcoholic atheist) to pen a translation of the Bible that favored a certain group, among other alterations (which is only a more recent example of editing and manipulation), and it became a popular standard. It truly started in the first few centuries.
