It seems too convenient that this vulnerability was just sitting there… for years… and that only NOW, once the freedom caucus bullies McCarthy into a new church committee, that it comes to the surface.
The timing seems too perfect.

Feels like bait to me.
Everything done by every federal official or agent is misdirection from things that actually matter. None of this will ever change. No one will ever be punished. Just stop paying attention entirely.
They are going to get him out of office before republicans move to investigate, the investigation will be de-stigmatized since the purpose would be to remove him from power, and if the investigations were dropped then crimes likely wouldn't be brought to light.
