d) CABLE, noun - "strong rope or chain, used to retain a vessel at anchor"...hence chaining the formed vessel (perceiving partial) within flow (perceivable whole) to the anchor of accumulated information (suggested substitute whole by another partial).

Ones free will of choice represents the middle (media) of a balance (momentum) based system, while the consequences of ones choices represent the legacy of choices, shaping circumstances everyone needs to adapt to.

Hope represents ones consent to suggested outcomes by others, hence it doesn't matter if it's "news" from "cnn" or "tweets" from "elon musk". If one is tormented by hope (want) vs fear (not want), then ones worldview is being defined; redefined and contradicted by the suggestions of others. Only the choice to resist (need) suggested temptation (want) gets one out of this self inflicted torment (reason).
