Hardly stock price somehow connected with the real price of company, i.e. cost of physical assets, production volume and profits, it is mostly just a gambling on stock exchange.
Falling stock price does not mean that company lost manufacturing capability or whatever real value. Just like rising stock prices does not mean that company got new factories or began to produce something demanded with big profit.
But from the other side - it could be another Musk game. AFAIR, he sold a lot of Tesla stocks to buy Twitter. Now he could bought them back twice cheaper.
Pretty sane, I think. Better have more ownership rights over a real asset, than to hoard money on bank accounts. And if you own a platform that is relatively popular, why not influence stock prices drop one way or another? It is pertty simple today, taking in account all that ESG crap that is spreading among stock traders and large investment funds who play on stock exchanges, so do something ESG crowd will not like on Twitter, wait for stock price drop, buy your property back for cheap. I will not be surprised if Musk will turn Tesla private company eventually too.
