It's official. I was right. Calling it now. I have for the past two or so years been discussing how there has been a shift in the community (this community + general conspiracy sites such as ATS, Reddit, LunaticOutpost, GLP, telegram, GA, 4fhan etc)
--
It's mostly native ads. It seems like we are helping prop up a new kind of influencer....tim Poole, Scott Adams, etc...
They are the 'conservative' voice boxes, we are the 'grassroots' and 'fringe' and 'alt/extreme' etc.
Conspiracies are 'right wing nut jobs' when the left discuss it, and the 'left wing fascists' are when the right discuss it in the mainstream.
--
We are essentially keeping the grift going, and providing the next talking points for the grifters.
Additionally, they then have their PR accounts used to link to one of their affiliates and this is the grift.
--
They then support one another by saying 'if you want to learn more you gotta really look at @$hit7∆|53®' for the real details (but they have the same details lol - not more - just more focused perhaps...)
--
Flat earth was a good example. It was immediately turned into a grift despite the argument so it may have some validity, but it doesn't matter because it follows the grift....so you cannot trust it.
--
Everything is following the grift....anytime real stuff comes up...the grift is just used to deflect. It's incredible. The posts on this website get voted up and there is a mm of controlling the 'hotness' of posts. They push their garbage mostly to the top, and real posters get sidelined. This place is a wasteland yet you have use three different browsers, and a shit ton of tricks to see them all.....
Yeah, they are definitely opportunistic. It's really annoying. Because it's just extra work. And they obviously don't have scruples when you go grifting. I blame Qanon bullshit. I think that was the first viral grift.
Good. Never pay for anything in this space. Donate to the person, not the cause if you must and really want to support someone because then so be it, support the individual if you like them, but beware anything behind a paywall and never do it imo for access. Bad business this stuff. Real information is like WikiLeaks....free to all...hard to access for some, not too focused unless the person has devoted themselves to studying that thing and has the appropriate sacrifices as well as the wisdom....no one gets the information for free...what did it cost them.
Most of these grifters have the information...none of the scars, none of the sacrifices,.....why do they possess such info?
And if they seem to be focused on growing subscribers it is a job...so it needs to be treated like they have a boss telling them what to do. Anyone who has a business knows you always have a boss....maybe it's the customer, maybe it's your bank, your government, or an actual boss. In their case, the boss is information and they cannot give it away else they lost their job...so they will dangle it and trickle it and repeat it....some of them shamelessly because they work on 'views', 'subscribers' etc.
The views accumulate and they just need to get you hooked on the next drop so you come back and watch at least a little bit and aren't completely turned off.
The subscribers, they either have found people who are receptive to their formula or they have a stable number which will run up and down and they can again drip and drop some of their 'data' by mixing it like a bartender who is experimenting.
Anyways it's good you avoided spending the money.
