I agree, 100%. Quitting means quitting, not finding a coping mechanism nearly as powerful as the drug.
I've never been into any drugs (aside from social drinking a few times a month), but my brother was into drugs, and he got off them with Suboxone... and has been taking Suboxone ever since, for the past 8 or so year now; if he stops taking it for a day, he may as well be quitting heroin cold turkey, and if he's late taking it, he will turn into a rage monster. His life is ruined by drugs - he hasn't worked in 5 years, and he basically does nothing, ever.
Lesson: don't do drugs, and definitely don't "quit" doing drugs by doing more drugs.
