To destroy the precarious natural gas situation? My theory is they’re managing the precarious situation by sending cold air toward North America away from Europe where the natural gas situation is far worse.
It's just as bad if not worse here. US infrastructure is decades behind Europe. Anything breaks, it has to get replaced. It can't just get repaired. We saw that in Texas last year.
Eh, consider that Germans are already using candles to heat their homes. So imagine if temperatures got worse. So maybe the infrastructure is better in Europe but they don’t have enough gas to even flow through the infrastructure. So having that infrastructure isn’t really effective since it’s utilization is being limited.
My point still stands. We have plenty of natgas, and plenty of 50, 60 year old piping. Frigid weather, poor insulation, rampant OSHA violations, and infrastructure older than my parents is not a good combination.
