Because we have survived this many times before, it is a cycle, since you watch Ben you know that.

I personally think they know all this stuff too and their end goal is to be the ones who survive in the dumbs and will control the rest with the accumulated power they are massing now. It is also why I think they don't even give a shit to cover their tracks anymore, they don't have to much longer
