My guess is that people and the souls they have experience a beginning but have no end. Maybe some of these people who seemingly are reincarnated needed to have a do over for one reason or another. It's like they didn't have a fair shake to do something. What is that something? Know and experience a relationship with God is what I am thinking.
I do not believe in it but do not rule it out. Jesus Christ didn't talk about it. Christian perspective seems like you get one chance to not fuck this all up. You get mercy and forgiveness if you accept that Jesus Christ died for your sins meaning God who created us in His own image birthed Himself into the flesh and suffered human suffering to take the punishment for our sin. Things of the spirit world are beyond my understanding but when i am in nature and rid my mind of useless thoughts and just listen to the wind and rain and birds and get away from cellphone towers and electric lines I feel a part of something greater.
I think it was C.S. Lewis who said that Buddhism would be the next closest thing if there wasn't Christianity. Personally, I am a Christian and agree with how you explained it. One chance to not fuck this up. There are people where it gets fucked up though no fault of their own. Do those souls get a re-roll? You are right Jesus didn't talk about that and it's not really found in the Bible.
I think that there are some souls that are reincarnated. The boy who lived before may be one example:

Isn't that buddhist theory?

Someone said whatever pain or suffering you are feeling GOD has felt it too and He understands. I thought that was powerful.
