My point was that in the case of opiate addiction, the common “treatment” is addiction/prescription to other opiates (heroin - the hero drug - was developed to treat the morphine addicted from the war, methadone, etc.). Just like in this case, where the “cure” for amphetamines is more amphetamines.
Interestingly enough it is ostensibly consistent with homeopathy, where what poisoned you is the cure. The principal of the similars.
