Search engine itself and web interface to search engine are different things. Google use Google web interface to Google search engine. Search engine have special API to do searches, with a lot of settings to adjust results by different parameters like citing, ad payments, relevance to query, frequency of search hits and so on. Playing with that parameters will give you very different search results if you paid for access to search engine directly.

Brave search uses Google search engine via paid API to access search results, just like DDG and others. They just use slightly different search settings than Google web interface, so results looks different.

Really there are very few independent search engines with own web crawlers and databases - Google, Yahoo, Bing, Yandex, Baidu. Internet is very large today, and just to store indexed data from every web page and document to allow simpliest search you need a huge datacenters and very thick channels for crawling. Not many companies could afford it. All other use search engines of large companies for some fee to show results in their own web interfaces, but it is still a results from few search engines.

So, if google manages his search engine to remove some info, you will not find it in any "search" that uses Google search engine. Try another one, but I think they are all in one boat about really important things, so you have to be lucky to find something that is not yet censored from search databases by some search provider.
