I read those giants were killed off by the Indians whose fellow tribesman were falling into holes the giants dug on their hunting trails and eaten by the giants (cannibals)
There seems to be a huge chunk of our recent history missing where there were a lot more different humanoid species roaming the planet at the same time the history books wont touch but there is hard skeletal evidence they existed in our recent past .. The elongated skulls of PERU really got me no longer trusting anthropology (A cover up)
I read about a group in Oregon that chased a group of giants into a large cave system and the set fire to the front of the cave so that it filled with smoke and suffocated them. Apparently, the giants would regularly raid their tribe for food (cannibalism). They finally decided to exterminate the threat.
That was a good video. It really makes you wonder what's going on when you don't know any more of your history than Truman did.
