The whole concept of aliens doesn't make sense without some kind of spiritual fate/destiny/system angle to go along with it, because at this point the most logical theory of aliens wanting our planets resources, well if they were going to seize them they would've done so by now, we should've all been wiped out by now if that were the case, so if there are aliens in the mix then they have some specific interest in humanity, which most of the time is hard to imagine, I mean really how are we as a species special or valuable from a purely practical perspective, so it would have to be for some other reason, that isn't purely physical pragmatism, which really only leaves 2 possibilities left on the table, either something spiritual ie supernatural in its nature, or we're some kind of experiment, but if we're an experiment it certainly feels stale at this point, what exactly are they waiting to see happen, not ruling it out completely but again it's just getting stale because we've already consistently shown the nature of our species, for better and for worse, everything has been on rinse & repeat mode for a long time now, historically
Project Bluebeam....aliens don't exist they are faked as cover.....cover for the events in revelation so that people won't turn to God when the events of revelation are happening
Which is why we have never gone to space or will ever go. Just gives people hope that we can so that they are not focused on those who control the world or come together to do something. The sooner people realize this the sooner the elite would be afraid that they are trapped in the cage with us.
Yeah, sometimes I think we are just a reality show for the rest of the galaxy.
In all seriousness, I've seen a few good explanations for why aliens would have a more hands-off approach.
Like you said, it is some kind of experiment. Maybe our civilization gets reset with new variables at the end of every age.
There is some kind of galactic law (like the prime directive in Star Trek). Even aggressive aliens would have to take over our world through some kind of deception that makes it look like our race accepted their rule willingly.
They are just human time travelers and they have been tweaking our timeline for reasons only known to themselves.
We are in a simulation and the aliens are just the devs interacting with the shell.
The aliens are actually benevolent and are slowly coaxing our species into a something resembling civilized behavior (hard to imagine, the way things are going).
They are completely indifferent to us, kind of like the way we ignore monkeys in the jungle, and they are just using Earth as a way station for resources (water, fuel, etc...).
Lots of other possibilities. I hope I find out some day...
