Seems like a twisted game some Elites might enjoy making peasants play (gladiator style). The kind of people that enjoy hunting humans for sport.

If they are putting this news out to the public now, this tech has already been in use for some time doing exactly what they want it to do. Black Mirror was more truth than people realize.
