This is where I'm at, but for perhaps different reasons. There's no legitimate authority behind them anymore, it's all just a show of force.
Problem is, it's up to the legislature to define the Constitution's vague words like "excessive" and "cruel," and they haven't really done that, and they probably don't plan to.

The free press is essential to democracy. What we have is a press enslaved by the DNC and forced unto the darkest corners of the internet to even be able to tell the truth.
