It definitely takes effort to create a large scale set up. I know a guy who has a system that collects rain water. He monitors the temp/ humidity in the grow room and some program alerts him to any changes.
He grows blue, pink, yellow mushrooms, oysters, lionsmane, chestnut, etc in sawdust.
Put the spores on wood or sawdust.
There are some easy grow boxes on the market now for home use.... and for other types of mushrooms.
After harvesting the mushrooms and selling, he puts the saw dust into an area with worms etc and turns it. After a certain point he moves it to another location, keeps rotating it and then eventually it is done. So basically a combo of mushrooms and worms.
He then sells the mushroom /worms manure as another source of income. Nothing is wasted.
Mushrooms make some of the best fertilizer!
