It is psychological manipulation used against us. As a hypnotic suggestion the mind is basically, if you suggest something it is more ready to accept it or be familiar with it. This is why political advertisers put out those signs with their names. Because if they are familiar with the name voters will be more likely to vote for it because it has been previously suggested to them. They're testing the waters when they pull stuff like that.
