The same author wrote a book about using groups of 8 people to affect change (including healing) and I joined an intention group a couple of years ago and even though we are down to a lot fewer than 8 at our weekly meetings, now, we still get results. It's amazing what humans are capable of, even remotely.

McTaggart is great!
Intention circles are great too (like McTaggart's power of 8). Damn if I can't get 8 people (or even 3!) to get interested locally.

We all did the McTaggart class. It was pricy but she put us into groups based on timezone. I our group meets weekly over zoom/skype.
