currently experiencing this. Taking two biology courses to finish up my last semester and holy cow i'm the only remotely intelligent person in the room and that includes the instructor!

Think about changing majors. These classmates will be your future co-workers and managers. They won't get any smarter but they will be more convinced that they are.

Most of the high paying bio jobs are in the big blue liberal cities (Bay area, NYC, Chicago, Boston, DC...). The pay is 'high' but the cost of housing + taxes are insane. This makes the pay poor. Also, many time you'll need a PhD to have any role where you get to think some of the time. Also, lab work means that there is no hope to work from home.

I was experiencing what you are now, in the past. I made it to the top of my field and it was horrible. Surrounded by retards with PhDs that didn't understand why copy/paste data tables was better than retyping them out into multiple places. I'm doing a full industry change to get away from them.

I am going into GIS. I am not majoring in biology or even minoring. I picked them because I knew they would be easy. But i seriously was not expecting even this easy.

Off topic question/favor.

Do you have a suggestion for a free software/website to make custom maps with high resolution satellite images? I'd like to make a personal maps that document trails, hills, swamps, landmarks, people's locations and such to help a few new hunters that are coming hunting with my group this year.

Thank you.

I could actually help you make one. Do you have Discord? That's my only mode of communication.

Uhm, I don’t know if anybody ever told you, but it’s possible to have an advanced degree in biology and also be mentally ill at the same time.

Yeah, scientific materialism does that to people, it cuts them off from God and that makes them spiritually sick.

There is no compelling, falsifiable evidence for the existence of god. Religion is the greatest scam and manipulation in all of human history. https://scored.co/c/Atheist/p/141reluACp/-burden-of-proof-is-on-the-one-m/c

Here are the thoughts of a scientist in the year 1500:

“There is no compelling, falsifiable evidence for the existence of electricity, radio waves, sound waves, radiation or any other invisible forces or energies. Just because some people claim to have seen lightning or claim to have experienced electric shocks from electric eels doesn’t mean we should believe their testimony. Until we come up with equipment or the machines that can measure these invisible forces we must assume that they do not exist. Nothing that the human brain experiences can be trusted until we verify it with some equipment and the scientific process. So for now, we must assume that invisible energies and forces do not exist.”

The above is what a real scientist would’ve thought in the year 1500.

That sounds pretty fucking stupid, doesn’t it? Despite the fact that science couldn’t prove it, some people 500 years ago were experiencing invisible electrical forces by using their built-in human sensory equipment.

Just recently university scientists have proven through rigorous experimentation and testing that humans do indeed have brain structures that can respond to changes in earth’s magnetic fields. Unfortunately, due to the use of cognitive wayfinding methods like maps or smart phones most humans are not conscious of the unconscious magnetic sensory processes of the specific brain cells that react to changes in magnetic field.

So most modern people do not have a good sense of direction as they can rely on technology or paper maps or landmarks to navigate their environment. However, it does seem like some primitive hunter gather tribes that still exist today do develop more accurate sense of direction by accessing these subconscious sensory processes.

Today scientists are just beginning to establish the foundation for a new field of called quantum consciousness. Some in that field propose that very small structures inside neurons are accessing weak fields of information/energy that help us store memory or access knowledge that exists outside of our head.

Despite the fact that we CURRENTLY DO NOT have the technical equipment that will detect or measure these fields it’s quite possible that millions of years of evolution has given us neurons that are able to access these fields of information that we don’t yet understand at a technical level.

If some of that information in the quantum field is spiritual information then according the billions of people who have claimed to have had spiritual experiences we must assume the possibility that there is a field of energy or information that we haven’t yet discovered.

It’s very possible that some people are able to connect to spiritual energies or forces that other people are unable to connect to. It’s sad but just because you lack a connection to spiritual forces doesn’t mean that everyone else lacks that connection.

One of the reasons that people do become disconnected from spiritual energies is that they want to believe in a scientific materialist world. But if you’re a true scientist you’re able to admit that we don’t know everything and that there are more possibilities than we can even imagine. If you don’t have this open frame of mind as a scientist, you’ll never discover anything new.

So if you are some type of academic physicist and you believe that the science of physics is 99% done, you’re not likely to discover the fact that physics may be only 70% done. You’ll make no new discoveries because your mindset makes you blind to possibilities.

Finally, you seem to be implying that every spiritual person is retarded, so go fuck yourself.

I’ll say it because I’m not as kindhearted as other spiritual people.

Nope, it sounds logical and reasonable. What would be fucking stupid is if they said invisible forces were impossible and could never exist when they had no explanation for air and lightning. And I'm sure some did say that.

Despite the fact that we CURRENTLY DO NOT have the technical equipment that will detect or measure these fields it’s quite possible that millions of years of evolution has given us neurons that are able to access these fields of information that we don’t yet understand at a technical level.

It's not possible until you can demonstrate it. Does that mean it shouldn't be investigated? Of course not, science is all about gathering facts. To go back to god, there is not a single shred of evidence that shows a god of religion is possible let alone exists, let alone created this world/humans.

If some of that information in the quantum field is spiritual information then according the billions of people who have claimed to have had spiritual experiences we must assume the possibility that there is a field of energy or information that we haven’t yet discovered.

"Quantum field" in humans hasn't been proven to be true, "spiritual energy" has the same problem. You're making a lot of assumptions and that's not scientific.

But if you’re a true scientist you’re able to admit that we don’t know everything and that there are more possibilities than we can even imagine. If you don’t have this open frame of mind as a scientist, you’ll never discover anything new.

This is true. However I'm only open to the facts and evidences, not guesses or assumptions.

Finally, you seem to be implying that every spiritual person is retarded, so go fuck yourself.

I didn't even hint at that, not in that comment at least. Once again you make an assumption and react to it instead of reacting only to the facts.

I've found people with the greatest book "smarts" are actually really dumb when it comes to critical thinking and skepticism, especially about fields they think they already know. For example doctors are the most close minded when it comes to health because they think they already know everything and that you can't possibly know something they don't.

Biologists are evolutionists which is all you need to know about their critical thinking skills and overall intelligence.

“We landed on the moon in 1969!”, “Vaccines prevent infection!”, “Men can get pregnant!”, “Humans evolved from monkeys!”.

Same retards.
